Kolsay is one of the wonders of Kazakhstan. In Kazakh, "kolsay" means "gorge of lakes". It is also called the Kazakhstan Switzerland. If you like pure nature, you should visit this wonderful place. This is quite a popular destination among nature lovers and tourists. All high-mountain lakes are surrounded by coniferous forest. The view is stunning.
Kaiyndy is a mysterious, almost mystical place. The lake was formed by an earthquake, flooding the dense coniferous forest. The tops of their trunks still rise above the water like the masts of sunken ships. While under the water, thanks to the low even in summer temperature, every needle has remained unharmed. The water in the lake is crystal clear. You can see the underwater forest from the shore. The depth of the lake is about 15 meters.
